the little things that count

My favorite night with my husband was so simple (and totally cost FREE!).... While I was working a late shift as a waitress, he spent the day preparing. When I got home there were candles everywhere- in every room (he borrowed from the neighbors even!!). He made me a simple meal (a Totino's Party Pizza! haha!) and as I ate, he ran a hot bath with bubbles. After the bath, I went into our bedroom to find a poetry book, opened to the page of my favorite poem, and marked with a rose (he picked the book up at the library and the rose from someone's yard!) He then massaged me with lotion, and we spent the night reading poetry by candle-light. It doesn't get much better then that!
